2-BAG SPINDLE DRIVEN GRASS CATCHER
WHY SPEND HOURS MOWING, RAKING AND MOVING DEBRIS WHEN YOU CAN DO IT ALL IN ONE EASY STEP?
The Scag® 2-Bag Spindle Driven Grass Catcher (GC-2B) for the Scag Patriot™ allows you to quickly and conveniently collect grass clippings and leaves, delivering a picture-perfect, groomed lawn on all Scag Patriot mowers.
With a 7-bushel capacity and a 6″ discharge tube, this is a serious debris-catching system.
HIGH-CAPACITY GRASS CATCHER
3-BAG GRASS CATCHER
After the initial installation, the entire 3-Bag Grass Catcher (GC-3B) assembly can be removed and reinstalled in just minutes without any tools. Just pull three quick-pins, release the belt and lift it off. A 16-bushel capacity hopper collects debris from a blower that pulverizes the debris, reducing particle size and increasing the density inside the bags.
What does this mean to you? Shredding the debris allows you to pack from 50% to over 100% more into the same amount of space when compared to other grass catchers on the market. Simply put, you will be able to bag more debris before you have to stop and empty the bags. That saves time and greatly increases productivity.
NOTE: The 3-Bag Grass Catcher fits most 2002 and newer models (only those with Velocity Plus™ Cutter Decks) and is not available for 72″ models. Grass catchers are not compatible with propane and dual-fuel models.

OCDC – OPERATOR-CONTROLLED DISCHARGE CHUTE
TURN THE DISCHARGE ON OR OFF WITH A TWIST OF THE WRIST
Few things can ruin the look of a perfectly manicured landscape like the unsightly appearance of clippings and debris on sidewalks and driveways, and in flowerbeds. It’s not always easy or possible to keep mower discharge from blowing onto these areas, so you end up spending additional time to clean things up after mowing. This extra clean-up time hurts your productivity and profitability.
The Scag® Operator-Controlled Discharge Chute (OCDC) allows the operator to temporarily close off the cutter deck’s discharge opening when mowing along sidewalks, around flowerbeds, etc. Keeping clippings out of these areas saves you precious time to get other jobs done and make more money. A simple twist of the lever lifts the chute and closes the discharge opening—both happen at the same time with a simple handle twist.
TIGER STRIPING AND LAWN PATTERN SYSTEMS TAKE YOUR LAWN TO THE NEXT LEVEL
The patented Scag® Tiger Striper Lawn Striping System is the ultimate way to enhance the striping ability of your Scag. This lawn striper has unique features that allow you to turn the striping on and off, and remove the entire roller system without tools by pulling two “quick pins.” It is spring-loaded so it applies downward pressure onto the grass. This further enhances the stripe and allows the roller to contour to uneven terrain better than standard fixed rollers, even at high mowing and transport speeds.
The entire lawn-striping system mounts behind the rear drive tires. The advantage to mounting the roller at the rear is that it is the last thing to contact the grass. The tires and cutter deck pass over the grass and as a final step, the roller intensifies and evens out the stripe.

HURRICANE PLUS™ MULCH SYSTEM
TAKE MULCHING TO A NEW LEVEL
The Hurricane Plus™ features a patented design that takes mulching to a new level. With “Eye of the Hurricane” mulching plates, bolt-in baffles, special Eliminator™ mulching blades and a side-discharge block-off plate, the Hurricane Plus system cuts and recuts clippings into a fine mulch before dispersing them into the lawn.
The “Eye of the Hurricane” mulch plates that keep clippings in the path of the Eliminator blades, and this design ensures clippings are finely shredded and forcefully scattered down toward the soil, returning vital nutrients to the turf. Not only does this save you time and keep the lawn healthy, but it also benefits the environment by reducing landfill waste.
Each Hurricane kit includes a set of serrated “Eliminator” mulching blades with a high lift, “double-cut” edge for quick, thorough shredding of grass clippings and debris. Vital nutrients are put back into the soil.
