OCDC – OPERATOR-CONTROLLED DISCHARGE CHUTE

TURN THE DISCHARGE ON OR OFF WITH A TWIST OF THE WRIST

Few things can ruin the look of a perfectly manicured landscape like the unsightly appearance of clippings and debris on sidewalks and driveways, and in flowerbeds. It’s not always easy or possible to keep mower discharge from blowing onto these areas, so you end up spending additional time to clean things up after mowing. This extra clean-up time hurts your productivity and profitability.

The Scag® Operator-Controlled Discharge Chute (OCDC) allows the operator to temporarily close off the cutter deck’s discharge opening when mowing along sidewalks, around flowerbeds, etc. Keeping clippings out of these areas saves you precious time to get other jobs done and make more money. A simple twist of the lever lifts the chute and closes the discharge opening—both happen at the same time with a simple handle twist.

The Scag® V-Ride™ II 2-Bag Spindle Driven Grass Catcher (GC-VRII) allows you to quickly and conveniently collect grass clippings and leaves, delivering a picture-perfect, groomed lawn on Scag V-Ride II mowers (excludes 36- and 32-inch models).

With a 7-bushel capacity and a 6″ discharge tube, this is a serious debris-catching system.

HURRICANE PLUS™ MULCH SYSTEM

TAKE MULCHING TO A NEW LEVEL

The Hurricane Plus™ features a patented design that takes mulching to a new level. With “Eye of the Hurricane” mulching plates, bolt-in baffles, special Eliminator™ mulching blades and a side-discharge block-off plate, the Hurricane Plus system cuts and recuts clippings into a fine mulch before dispersing them into the lawn.
The “Eye of the Hurricane” mulch plates that keep clippings in the path of the Eliminator blades, and this design ensures clippings are finely shredded and forcefully scattered down toward the soil, returning vital nutrients to the turf. Not only does this save you time and keep the lawn healthy, but it also benefits the environment by reducing landfill waste.

Each Hurricane kit includes a set of serrated “Eliminator” mulching blades with a high lift, “double-cut” edge for quick, thorough shredding of grass clippings and debris. Vital nutrients are put back into the soil.
